Partner in your child’s social and emotional development.

Hi, I’m Collette. If you’re feeling concerned about your child’s behavior and ability to engage at home or school, I am here to help your child experience relief, growth, exploration and balance. I’m a child therapist passionate about helping children aged 5-12 find their potential and overcome obstacles.

With over 10 years of experience as a school and mental health counselor, I’ve provided support to children in areas such as anxiety/fear, grief and loss, self-esteem/self-confidence, aggression/impulse control and ADHD.

My collaborative approach provides your child with a safe, nurturing environment and techniques for your child to explore any challenges they need to overcome. There’s nothing better than seeing a child light up when they learn to cope, communicate and apply critical thinking skills independently to succeed.

Nurturing Youth Counseling Services

  • Coping With Impulsivity

If your child is struggling with behavior problems; (lack of focus, paying attention, refuses to follow rules, or frequently argues with others), they can be overcome. I have extensive experience in working with children and parents to provide a stronger “toolbox”.

  • Relieve Anxiety

Anxiety is triggered in all of us one time or another, but if fear and anxiety seems out of control and is preventing your child from being involved or completing tasks it becomes a concern. I specialize in helping children identify and tolerate their anxious feelings.

  • Grow Self-Esteem

If your child has difficulty making and keeping friends, lacking self-confidence or overcompensating, your child may be struggling with low self-esteem. I work with parents and their children to build upon their strengths in order to become a more self-confident individual.

  • Explore Grief

If your child has experienced a friend moving away or death of a loved one, pet or community member, they may be experiencing grief. I provide support to children struggling to process their grief by empathizing and aiding in their journey of healing.
