Coping with Impulsivity

I have received extensive training to support children and parents with impulsive behaviors exhibited both in and out of school, as well as school related issues.

What might impulsive behaviors or school-related issues look like in a child?

  • Lack of focus and paying attention

  • Struggling with multi-step directions

  • Difficulty completing a task

  • Trouble remembering things

  • Unable to keep things organized

  • Gets angry easily

  • Frequently argues with others

  • Refuses to follow rules and/or requests

  • Purposely attempts to ignore others

  • Often gets into fights

  • Threatens or intimidates others

  • Struggles to be honest

  • Misses school frequently

Your child may be experiencing impulsive behaviors but they can be overcome.
