Grow Self-Esteem

I work with children and their parents to identify and build upon strengths in order to grow into a more self confident individual.

What might low self-esteem look like in a child?

  • Struggling to feel accepted by peers

  • Having a hard time with autonomy, assertiveness and sticking up for one’s self

  • Exhibiting low self-regard and self-doubt

  • Thinking negatively about the world and self

  • Difficulty receiving positive feedback

  • Speaking negatively about self/using negative self talk

  • Lacking self-confidence

  • Overcompensating

Low self-esteem can occur with a number of disorders such as anxiety, depression, mood and impulsive behaviors. As I don’t treat all of them, please schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine if Nurturing Youth Counseling can provide the appropriate support for your child.
